PROJECTS AND EVENTS

The following are projects and events either undertaken by MCC members, or which MCC recommends knowing about.

INVITATION TO SEMINAL FAITH & URBANISM EVENTS
Caucus members are invited to attend two seminal back-to-back events, the UN-Habitat Faith-Based Urban Thinkers Campus and Urban Shalom Forum, from Nov. 10-15, 2017 in Singapore. These events are being planned by a team of people including caucus member, Chris Elisara, under the auspices of the World Evangelical Alliance Creation Care Task Force and the Urban Shalom Project. If you are interested in attending, and/or being involved in the leadership team for the urban design sector please go to this link.

CNU MEMBERS NETWORKING SESSION AT CCDA CONFERENCE

The Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) is having its National Conference in Detroit, during October 4–7, 2017. Caucus members are encouraged to attend. Learn more at this link. Chris Elisara will be hosting a formal networking event for CCDA members and CNU members to intentionally explore together our mutual interests in urbanism, and why and how as members we could collaborate for the common good “making places people love.” This free networking session is Oct. 5th at 5:30-6:45 PM in the Duluth B room at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

CNU Public Square published a story regarding this networking invitation.  Read it at this link.

5th ANNUAL NEW URBANISM FILM FESTIVAL OCT 19-22, 2017

The New Urbanism Film Festival kicks off again in Hollywood Oct. 19-22. Four days of movies about people from all over the world who are making their neighborhood a better place. After each feature film, or group of short films, a local urbanist interprets the lessons of the film and how they can be applied to our own neighborhood in Los Angeles, or wherever you live.  To get tickets go to this link.
