We’re delighted to announce that our 2015 symposium will be co-hosted by Bethel University’s Green Council at Bethel University, MN on Oct. 23-24.
This year we have two special keynote speakers. On Friday night David Wilkins, an architect and Managing Principle at the firm GMB, will talk about the big picture, namely campus master planning and sustainability. With 25+ years in design and campus master planning, David has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with us.
Colby May’s keynote address on Saturday morning will bring us down from the big picture to a discrete part of the master plan—energy, and in particular energy conservation and converting to renewable energy. Colby is a certified energy manager with decades of experience working on over 1000 projects ranging from k-12 schools, colleges, hospitals, churches, seminaries, local governments. Colby’s company, LIT, is a CEL partner organization.
On Saturday afternoon Sodexo will showcase its sustainability work in food services at Bethel University.
There are two breakout sessions planned for Saturday. This is an opportunity for members to convene a session on topics and issues. If you’d like to lead a breakout session please e-mail Chris at email@example.com with a short proposal (1 paragraph with a title and rationale).
MORE DETAILS COMING SOON (Sept. 7-11)
ACSP’s symposium dates are tied to the annual AASHE conference, which for 2015 will be in Minneapolis right after our symposium. Many symposium participants attend both events, which we highly recommend. To learn more about AASHE and their conference go to this link.
Keeping the symposium affordable is a high priority for ACSP, and registration is FREE for current ACSP members (with annual member dues at just $50 for an individual membership). Click here to become an ACSP Member and to become eligible for free symposium registration.
